Since the beginning of time man has been afraid of darkness. The natural reason being the uncertainty and fear that comes for survival. Wild animals, poisonous creatures and other unseen dangers are some of the things that may threaten man’s survival in the darkness. But slowly with evolution, man learnt to light fire and protect himself from the dangers that threaten his life.
Today the same danger lurks within every man. Man has looked into the darkness and the fear still haunts him. He has been able to remove the darkness outside him but he has not been able to do so with the darkness inside him.
He is suffering. He is afraid of failure. He struggles with not the outer world anymore,rather this internal battles have consumed him completely.
If this is getting too much story-like, then I will write some studies.
So how can we solve this problem?
As the famous saying goes- All the answer to your problems lie inside of you.
Yes and that is my answer. Sit down with your back straight and breath in and breathe out and focus on the emotions that you are feeling, listen to what your mind is saying, and be mindful. Be in the present moment. And do this for 2-3 minutes.

My point is that to have true peace of mind one has to be present in the moment. It sounds simple and it in fact is simple. And its not meditation. Its being consciously present in the moment. You can do it with your eyes open.
By being present in the moment most of your suffering will be diminished. Physical pain may remain but the mental suffering will be gone.
I can say this from experience that “Suffering can never be in the present moment.” because when you become present you are no longer suffering. Only thinking about the past and anticipating about the future brings suffering.
